Q: Log and Transfer Problem: getting SD from SONYHDSR11

I have a MacBook Pro, OSX 10.7.5 and a SONY HDSR11.  Today I took some video and wanted to transfer it to Final Cut Express v4.0.1.  I have never

had any trouble before.

 

I recorded the video on a memory stick in SD.  The Log and Transfer facility on FCE won't recognize it, presumably because I have something set wrong.

How do I import this material into FCE?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.1)

    If you know the exact format the camera recorded to:

    Set the FCE Easy Setup to match and start NEW Project with the new settings.

     

    Also a lot of cameras require the camera menu to be set correctly to output it's contents, eg PC mode.

     

    You could try a card reader that is suitable for the type of card in use and bypass the camera.
