I'm a legacy user of Garage Band '11, and I liked being able to fade in and out of individual tracks using the automation curves.
How do I do this in GarageBand 10.0.2? All I can see is how to fade in and out on the master track, which is not what I want.

Use the automation curves like before. Click the yellow "Show/Hide Automation" button above the track heads area and the the "Show/hide automation" button in the track head of the track you want to fade in or out. Set the automation parameter to "Volume". You will see a very faint line overlayed on the track. Click onto this line to add control points and adjust the curve.

And it is so faint, that we can barely see it, unless it is selected. 😀
