i cannot play video in my ipod (30 GB)

Please anyone can help me with this problem...
I cannot play my mpeg video on my ipod. Whenever we drag and drop from itunes video on to my ipod ,an pop up window comes stating that the content cannot be played in u r ipod,but its an 30 GB black ipod which should play music,videos and photo slideshows as written in manual.
Is it an technical problem? if yes plz do tell me so that i can get it exchanged with the new one as it is still under warranty..

All of you need a video converter
go to google and search "ipod video converter" and u should get some answers
if not get any converter and convert the video to .mp4, .m4v, or H.264
the resolution has to be set to 320x340 @ 30fps(frames per second)
make sure audio is set to aac or mp3
