Well i am getting a phone soon and I heard about jailbreaking and it looks really cool but I don't know if it's illegal. But I would only use it to customize my phone not steel money. Is that illegal?

No. It is not illegal just stupid.
It will void your warranty. Neither Apple nor the ASC can support your iPhone after it is jailbroken. It opens the iPhone up to all kinds on malware. It will most likely end up being a brick after the next upgrade. Where do you see cool in any of that?

Jailbreaking voids all warranty and support from Apple, now and in the future. Even if you managed to restore the device, there will still be remnants of what you have done left behind that Apple can detect. You will get no support of any kind once you have done a jailbreak.
You will also open up the iOS to viruses, malware, and other hacking attacks.
Is it illegal to jailbreak an iphone even if you don't steel money and you only use it to customize your phone even more?
