How do I add my iPhone number to my iPad messages send & receive. When I go to send & receive on my iPad only my email address is listed. When I click Add Another Email... and enter my cell number it will not accept it. On my iPhone my my cell phone number is listed.

Not only is it two years and marked solved by the OP, you missed the point of the whole discussion. You can add you iPhone number to the iPad to use for FaceTime and iMessage as explained in the link that I posted two years ago. I never said you could make phone calls by adding the number.

Begin with your IPhone and make sure you have the cell number correct, then add your Apple Id email. Now you should be able to add your cell number on your IPad
It is expected behavior to not be able to add a phone number to an iPad. It's not a cellular device in the same sense and not meant to have a phone number even if it is the cellular version.
