i need your help 🙂
I wanna create a chart with 3 pieces o data:
A - business plan
B - current results
C - additional results
What i have to show is one chart with A as linear type (or spot/point), and B+C as cumulative. How i can do that? Is it possible at all?
Seems like a 3-series X-Y (Scatter) Chart will work for that.

you can enter your data in a table where teh first row is a header.
select the columns (in this example... select column A thru C by clicking the column header for "A", the "A" at the very top, then hold the shift key and click the "C"), then add a scatter chart from the Charts menu.
To add additional series to the chart, select the chart, then click the "Edit Data References"

Do you mean show B and C as columns? If so you can do something like this:
To get that you select the cells in the table with the source data, click Chart in the toolbar and select this type of chart:
Make sure row 1 of your table is defined as a Header Row and column A is a Header Column. Depending on the dimensions of your table tou may have to click 'Edit Data References' and toggle this in the lower left of your window:

Almost. blue (line) exactly like on your chart, but yellow and green as cumulative column (see picture):
Use two charts:
1) a stacked bar chart
2) an X-Y scatterchart
place the xy scatter chart on top of the bar chart
I'm not sure I follow what you are trying to do, or what you mean by "cumulative column."
If by "cumulative" you mean what I mean by cumulative, then you can calculate cumulative totals in the data table and add that column to the chart:
Formula in B2, copied down: =SUM(A$1:A2)

Hi, i mean that if you have two values:
A=10
B=5
1) you can make a bar chart with bars next to each other (2d bar chart)
2) or you can make a chart with bars one on the another (i don't know that cumulative is a right world)
i need a second solution 🙂

Exactly, stacked (sorry for miss this word, my English is very poor).
The problem will apear, when you want to add more values, but you want that new one (or ones) should be i.e. linear or scatter 🙂
But Wayne Contello solution is ok, but not perfect 🙂

Numbers 3.2 has a 2 axis chart:
You can find this in Template Chooser > Charting Basics:
Open that Template and go to Sheet (Tab) 2-axis chart.

The template is very useful. But after you are familiar with charts you don't always have to go through it.

Yes, a know that - some people pointed this way. BUT it's impossible to use this 2-axis chart for situation, when you want to use data A as linear, and data B & C stacked.
Imagine on the picture posted by Yellowbox, that i want add new data to these blue columns as stacked chart... it's impossible, what is sad, because Excel hasn't this issue.

Ah, I see. You can do columns, but not stacked columns. Perhaps give feedback at Numbers > Provide Numbers Feedback.
