Can't shut down
I'm encountering a problem when shutting down my MacBook Air. The mail cancels the shut down. How do I shut down. I quit mail, but still cannot shut down.

Hi Hilda,
Click on the Apple in the upper left-hand corner, and then on Force Quit. See if the Mail app is still showing in the Force Quit window. If it is, force quit the app from there.
You can also click the Option+Command+Esc keys to get to that same window.
