HP Photosmart 230

I just switched from a PC, and want to use my Photosmart 230 printer. I downloaded the drivers from HP and tried to install the printer through the Printer Setup Utility. I can see my printer in the Printer Browser, but when I select it and search the Print Using drop down listing, the 230 isn't an option.

Following HP's directions, I should click the More Printers... button and select the hp photosmart to add the printer.

For the life of me, I can't find the driver anywhere. Does anyone have any experience trying to get this to work?

I'm stumped!

Greg,

Was this problem ever resolved? I'm running into the same problem with an HP Photosmart 230 printer.... the funny thing is that I have successfully installed an HP Photosmart 240 printer on this same computer. Since then, however, I have removed the 240 printer from the list of printers. Here's what I have tried to get the 230 working...

1. Installed HP driver package from CD that came with printer.
2. Installed latest HP driver package from HP's website.
3. Installed the additional HP drivers from the Tiger DVD.

In all cases, the printer will show up when I open the Printer preferences. But there is no OS X driver for a Photosmart 230 (or 240), even when I click on "More Printers".

When I run the HP install packages, it acts as if everything installed fine, but the printer still does not get added.
