How can I change the email account listed in my iCloud?

The email listed in my iCloud account is no longer in use and therefore can not access a password reminder. I do not know the password therefore I cannot even delete the account and start over. What can I do to solve this so that I no longer have to keep hitting cancel when it asks for my password?
