May 27, 2014 7:26 PM in response to Malcolm J. Rayfieldby mikeinthebarn,Thanks so much for taking the time to give me feedback! Could I add a displayport adaptor to the end the thunderbolt cable and have it work?

May 27, 2014 7:39 PM in response to mikeinthebarnby Malcolm J. Rayfield,No. You can't use the Thunderbolt cable. Thunderbolt cables work only with Thunderbolt ports (both ends). Your iMac has Mini DisplayPort, not Thunderbolt. There are no adapters that will make a Thunderbolt plug work in a Mini DisplayPort.
A Mini DisplayPort cable will work with a Thunderbolt port.
