Basicially what the title states, I can send an email from the mail app but i can no longer recieve an email. All my other apple devices work fine and I've tried deleting and re-adding the account but that didn't work. Any ideas on how I might be able to fix this?

Thank you for the link but even with this I still havent resolved my mail issue. I've even tried doing a full reinstall of Maverick and that didn't fix anything. Have you heard/seen anyone else with this issue?
Please describe in detail what happened when you took all the applicable steps in the support article. That's the starting point for any further efforts to solve the problem.
I have same issue after most recent updated applied.
I ran through all the posted "troubleshooting tips posted herein....
being recent convert from windows platform to iMac - bit surprised that the lauded apple platform has bad patch/update syndrome like those folks in Seattle....
my strategy work, tell the world you plan / actions and you'll look silly soon enough....
port was changed after the update. had to reset port on email to 110
This actually worked lol, I googled gmail port numbers and tried two of them and the second one worked. Strange that when I deleted the account that the mail app didn't set the port correctly. Thanks for the point in the correct direction.
After updating to 10.9.3 I can send but no longer get mail in mail app, How do I fix this?
