Can't Change Apple ID in iphone

I have changed my Apple ID in my Mac but my phone Apple ID wont change. I have been reading that i must delete icloud first. When i tried, it says that i have to type my old password which is not longer valid since the old account no longer exsists. The old email is Hotmail email which no longer exists, so i cant go back and use that email and go around the system.

I am trying to have the new account reflected in my iphone. I cant download any new apps or even updates. What is the use of smartphone without apps !!!

What should i do? 😕

I am very disappointed at apple. I believe its time to swtich from IOS to Android.

If you go to settings > iCloud and then turn off Find My iPhone and enter the password for your new Apple ID ( it will still show your old Apple ID but the password for your new Apple ID will work), once Find My iPhone has been turned off you should be able to delete your old iCloud account. Then sign in with your new Apple ID! To download and update apps you will need to go to settings > itunes & app store click on your old apple id in blue, click sign out, then sign in with your new apple id and password! Good luck!

Thank you ThatBroisGuyy !! That was absoluely brilliant !! I was reading alot of topics about changing the iclouds but no one mentioned this. This is definitely a bug that apple needs to fix where it desplays the old email and accepts the new emails password

Use the old account and password. The Hotmail does not have to be working.

Use manage to change e-mail address associated with your Apple ID. Do not create a new Apple ID.
