Q: Max iOS on Touch gen1

I'm preparing an iPod Touch, 16G, 1st gen for sale at a garage sale. I scrubbed it so I don't know what iOS it had contained. Currently, when turned on, you get the icon of plugging the cable into iTunes. Someone is going to ask me what is the most current iOS that it will accept when they go to sync it to their computer. I completely forgot.
