Q: How do I hook up a printer to my IPAD?

Printers cannot be attached to an iPad...you can only print directly by using an AirPrint enabled printer.   Or you can transfer material to a computer to use to print.

AriPrint enabled printers are: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4356 and you can contact Epson to see if they have a way to enable AirPrint on your printer.

Your Printer must be AirPrint compatible to be seen directly by the iPad.

Alternatively if your Printer is Wireless but not AirPrint compatible your Printer Manufacturer may have an App you can use to Print to it.
