Hi there, I have an iMac g3 using 10.1.4 I think. Was running fine until recently, noticed a little slowness so I shut down and restarted. Only this time I landed on a black screen with white text starting with darwin/bsd.
Spent the last two days reading lots of topics on this, trying lots of different fsck codes to no success. Just keep landing back on the black darwin screen.
I've also tried booting from the OS X cd to do any repairs but all that happens after starting with the c button held down is that I go back to darwin. Even did that with my last resort of reinstalling the OS software.
I did all this in the safe boot mode as I can't remember any login details.
Any help would be very warmly received as I'm at my wits end.
