Hello, mebl13.

Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.

Here is an article that I would recommend going through when experiencing this issue. Start with the section labeled If you are unable to access or play content while connected to a Wi-Fi network.

I would also recommend making sure you router has been adjusted to the recommended settings in the article below.

I had the same issue, and its an easy fix.

If it gets stuck on setting date and time, press the menu button, that will open up computers and settings

Go to Settings

Go to Network

Click on Ethernet

Configure IP to Manual

in the IP Address make it 192.168.0.99 (Based on not using a Telstra Connection. Otherwise go to a computer and find out the default gateway

Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Router 192.168.0.1

Configure DNS to Manual (To know what this is meant to be, go into your modem setting thru browser 192.168.0.1 and click on advanced, will show it here

Enter those top numbers into it. Then accept that... and Wella.... all done

My apple TV is taking a long time to activate what should i do?
