Daisy Chaining 3 MOTU 828mkII

Hi, guys

I,m trying to Daisy Chain three 828mkII with logic pro
7.1.0 on OSX 10.3.9 with no joy. Logic reads the three
828s seperately. How can this be done in order to have
more recording channels? Thanks in advance.

You'll need to upgrade to Tiger (10.4.x) and set up an aggregate device.

In the meantime, if you're not already using the adat i/o you can at least gain 8 more inputs that way.

Thanks Eos I,ll try to upgrade my laptop to Tiger.I also have a G5 with tiger so could you explain how to do the aggregate thing you've mentioned please,thanks.

Sure thing! Run AMS, and on the menu bar select Audio>Open Aggregate Device Editor. Create a device there and select the Motu's and master clock.

I'm trying to Daisy Chain a Motu 896HD and a FirePod, but don't know how to get them to work together. Logic Pro can see them seperately, but I can't get it to recognize them at the same time to use 16 audio input channels. Can anyone tell me how this can be done? I know I'm suppose to set one as the Master and one as the Slave, but I can't figure out how?

EoS, I am more ignorant about this program then I thought, what is the AMS and where can I find it?

AMS=Audio Midi Setup. It's in the Applications>Utilities folder
