We have multiple issues that are being discussed in this forum. I think you are referring to the PAIRING and CONNECTIVITY issue. That has worked fine for me too, but others have had a real headache with it.

The ticket that I opened up with Apple Assistive Devices Tech Support is a completely different issue, but should get their attention to look at other problems too. My issue deals with a change in the coding with iOS8 that breaks OTHER APPS (Siri, Camera.app (video recording) and Voice Memos.app WHEN HEARING AIDS ARE PAIRED.

The troubles that others are having MAY (or may not) have something in common with the issue that I reported. It would be great if there IS a common cause to fix multiple issues.

Like you, I have no problem with pairing or connectivity.

Ah, I understand what you're getting at here. I have been focusing on the fact that I simply cannot use the aids pretty much at all with the 6 and have not been paying as much attention to the discussion you guys have been having with the video type issues. Probably should though in reality considering all of these could have a single common link. Thanks for the clarification.

random thoughts I had...has anyone experimented with different settings off & on - like the hearing aid mode in iOS, or setting within TruLink, auto mute while streaming, auto car. Does toggling any of them off effect video recording or Siri working?

I don't keep auto mute on, but when on the phone or using directions I turn it on, if I forget to turn it off, there are a couple games I play that mute my aids, even though I have sound turned off in those apps. Apparently the phone doesn't recognize that the game sound is off and mutes my aids. When it first happened, I thought the aids were turning off. I am wondering if there might be some correlation with the other problems you are experiencing.

My husband is now using an iPhone 6, I am using it as tester before I upgrade. I was able to pair my aids, but streaming a phone call was terrible.

I just got off the phone with Starkey customer support. They took no responsibility for the fix to this and made it real clear to me that this was Apple's issue. I stressed the obvious and got the customer service words of comfort but no facts or updates. I really pressed to make sure my call was recorded somewhere and this is a critical issue..... They did say they expected something from Apple very soon.

So, Apple, your friend Starkey has left it in your court! We need a fix and we need it NOW.

I meant to do this last week but plan to give my audiologist a call to ensure they are aware of the issue. Hopefully Starkey has already sent something out warning them that 'Made for iPhone' doesn't really mean it's made for anything past 5S (currently). I also hope they have better connections than any of us would with the company so can hopefully get better information that way. Will let you know what I find out.

And when I talked to Apple support yesterday they basically said it is probably in the manufacturer's app. They inform app developers of upgrades, it is up to the app developer to assure compatibility. It seems logical to me that issue lies somewhere in the connection with the 6 and iOS, it is not just Halos there are resound linx users reporting the same problems.

This morning I posted on PCmags facebook page that the hearing impaired community needs help, gave a brief outline or our issues and mentioned that Apples accessibility support is only available via phone. PCmag covers all things Apple. I am hoping that someone there finds that intriguing enough that they will cover the issue or at the very least research it bringing more attention to the sitiuation.

Hmmm, very strange for a Starkey customer service person to make such a statement. Starkey has significant competition in the "Made for iPhone" business and the iPhone 6 & 6+ phones are largest rollout ever. Also, Apple states that this series of phones meets all requirements. My bet is that Starkey is moving "Heaven & earth" to fix the issue as as not all providers have the same problem. "Just sayin'"

Just off the phone with Starkey Tech Support who insist that Apple is preparing an iOS update to solve the issue with the 6 dispite my relaying Apples second level tech support"s manager telling me that Apple has no such plans. Perhaps the confusion lies in developer to engineering discussions not available to tech support. The Starkey tech support promised to investigate and call me back.

Also Starkey are adamant that iOS 8 causes no problems on the 5S. Their data collection system from customers seems lacking.

Hello Everyone...I was one of the first to get Halo 110's and also had the disconnecting problems associated with forgetting to have my 5S attached to my hip every moment of every day. After about 45 days of this, I brought everything back to my specialist and told him i wanted my $7000 back. He said that Starkey was refusing to refund money and that they would repair mine.

After about 10 days of "repair" they shipped a brand new set with no reason sited. These have been fantastic! I've tried everything and I can NOT get these to fail to reconnect. There is no way for me to check any rev numbers or such, but I'm sure they have corrected the issues associated with re-connecting.

Best of luck getting yours replaced...
