Sep 26, 2014 9:26 PM in response to dogsitterby Doopher,Jim, I have exactly the same problem, but only tested after you mentioned it. I recently took a video, but couldn't find it on my iPhone. Searched the forums for others with the issue, but nothing.
Unpaired Halos, and all works fine. This is on the 5s AND the 6

Sep 27, 2014 1:02 AM in response to dogsitterby Doopher,Jim, I tested this again extensively on both my iPhone 5s and 6 this morning. The outcome is consistent - records video to "recently added" when unpaired; takes video but does not save when paired. Bluetooth does not need to be turned off for it to save video - just un-paired with the Halos.
SantafeNM - they're not really false positives. There's not much positive about not being able to record video, it is just trying to find a common link with the connectivity problems.
Lanie - yes, it definitely seems to be an iOS 8 problem.
I used my iPhone 6 most of the day yesterday, and for most of the time it worked fine, so a similar experience to dbmtx above Several times the Bluetooth logo greyed out meaning the phone had become disconnected. I had to 'forget' and re-pair for it to start again. I tried connecting and disconnecting WiFi, but to be honest, there wasn't a huge difference in the ability to stay connected. I'd say it was 30% less reliable with WiFi connected.

Sep 27, 2014 4:38 AM in response to Doopherby dogsitter,Lanie, Mike & SantafeNM:
I did more testing this morning, and found an inconsistency in results, with just an occasional "save" of videos. On further testing, I think I've found that the ORDER OF OPERATIONS is the key. Here's what is happening here:
If I simply TURN OFF BLUETOOTH (PHYSICALLY un-pairing the Starkeys) I can consistently record a video.
If I THEN TURN BLUETOOTH ON, BUT HAVEN'T CLOSED the video recording screen, I can record a video.
BUT if I have Bluetooth ON and the Starkeys connected, AND THEN OPEN THE VIDEO RECORDING SCREEN, the videos won't save.
So today I will try periodically to reproduce this by turning Bluetooth off, opening the video recording screen, then turning Bluetooth back on. If we can find someone at Apple to report our findings to, we may get these things fixed.

Sep 27, 2014 6:58 AM in response to dogsitterby SantafeNM,JIm, tried unsuccessfully to replicate your video recording issue with all the different settings mentioned This a.m. Videos were saved to Video album each time.
iPhone 6 still with factory installed iOS 8.

Sep 27, 2014 7:10 AM in response to SantafeNMby dogsitter,Hmmm. Mike and I have the problem with the iPhone 5, Mike has it with iPhone 6, and you don't with iPhone 6. That tells me that there may be ANOTHER VARIABLE involved. Maybe others will chime in. My wife and I are going on a "foliage viewing drive" today. I'll see what happens while we're out.

Sep 27, 2014 7:45 AM in response to dogsitterby SantafeNM,Updated to 8.02, played around with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi a few minutes ago. Now I also cannot save video when the Halos are paired.

Sep 27, 2014 9:32 AM in response to SantafeNMby LanB22,SantefeNM,
did 8.2 on the 6 allow you to stream phone calls. I rarely video, so that glitch won't bother me, but being able to stream calls successfully is a must. I am itching to activate my 6, but don't want to be sorry that I did.

Sep 27, 2014 9:40 AM in response to LanB22by Fingolfin269,Hi Lan. I updated and streaming phone calls is still not working reliably. To be honest I can't get any of the connectivity features to work reliably.

Sep 27, 2014 9:42 AM in response to LanB22by mltobey,i posted earlier that I had not been able to pair my Halos at all with my new iPhone 6. This morning, I installed the iOS 8.0.2 update and was able to immediately pair the right H/A through the Accessibility/Hearing Aid function in Settings, but the left H/A will not pair at all -- all I can see is that miserable spinning sunburst symbol. I followed the exact same steps as with the right H/A. Is there a trick to getting the left H/A to pair? (I had none of these problems with iPhone 5 and iOS 7.)

Sep 27, 2014 9:45 AM in response to Fingolfin269by LanB22,Thanks for the info. They need a don't like button on here. Apple and Starkey really need to address this ASAP. So many people are dependant on this combination.

Sep 27, 2014 9:46 AM in response to Fingolfin269by dbmtx,SSimply, in a word, no. This update (8.02) was actually built prior to Starkey realizing that there is an issue with iOS 8. My belief still is that there is an issue that lies with WiFi and Bluetooth. I believe that it is exasperated by the 'hand off' feature found only in iOS 8. I can stream both audio and voice calls but both are not robust and connection is marginal. We just have to wait for Starkey and Apple to resolve this issue as a team. Nothing we can do at this point.

Sep 27, 2014 9:58 AM in response to mltobeyby SantafeNM,I had success repeatly turning both aids on and off until the phone finally recognized both. Still all that permits is microphone volumn adjustments.

Sep 27, 2014 10:37 AM in response to Doopherby okiejack,Great discovery, turning WiFi off while pairing. Just got 6+ yesterday and wasn't able to pair until NOW, after reading your post. While I still cannot program geotag settings, I can use the embedded options, using tripple click. This will suffice until Apple & Starkey work it out. If they are reading these posts, they might profit from user experiences.

Sep 27, 2014 1:49 PM in response to SantafeNMby dogsitter,NEW information!
I found that when I was having trouble recording VIDEO, I also could not use the MICROPHONE to "talk to Siri", NOR could I record a VOICE MEMO. Rebooting with Bluetooth off solved ALL THREE ISSUES. Now, what do they have in common? THE MICROPHONE! Remember, I could take PICTURES but not VIDEO. Pictures do NOT use the MICROPHONE.
Guys & Guyettes, we're narrowing this down! Everything was fine on iOS7, so the things we have in common are:
Starkey Halos
Bluetooth
THE MICROPHONE and
iOS 8
