I'd call it a "Work In Progress."  It works, but from time to time I have to "Forget This Device" and start again from scratch.  My LEFT H/A has had trouble connecting.  Other than that, it is working like iOS 7 and the iPhone 5.  "Adequate," but a bit on the flakey side.

The problem with taking videos or using the Voice Memos App is still there.  I have to turn off Bluetooth to use those apps.  Sometimes even that won't work, and I have to then reboot.

One thing that I'm really impressed with is the BATTERY on the iPhone 6 PLUS.  After 24 hours of use, I was just down to 85%.

Working pretty good for me so far.  The only issue I am having is switching back and forth between my iPad air and iPhone 6 (I like to sit on the patio and stream netflix and hulu). It was a little easier with the 5, I could forget the device and sync to the other pretty simply.  Sometimes with the 6 I would open up my iPad and it would 'sync" with the iPad at the same time although it wasn't fully synced.  I find I am having to turn off bluetooth when forget the device I want to leave.  Overall it works fine just seems like it was a little easier before.  If anyone has any thoughts would be happy to hear them.  I probably need to play with it a bit more as I haven't devoted much time to figuring out a more efficient way to do this.

On a side note, I am going to see my audiologist tomorrow.  Been 4 months since I bought my Halo's and time for a cleaning and follow-up hearing test.  I'll ask if they have any info on updates to the firmware and app.

I can switch from my iphone 6 to ipad air if I turn bluetooth off on both turn aids off and back on, then turn on BT on the device I want to be connected to. I think that is to be expected when going from device to device. My husband has an LG tones headset, he has to do pretty much the same thing if he wants to switch from his phone to his ipad.

I am now on day 6 with the same batteries in my aids. I have done very little streaming, I don't know if Starkey replaced my right aid, or fixed something in the original one, but whatever they did it took care of my battery life issue with the aids.

Couldn't be happier with the integration between the halos and the 6. I rarely take videos and never use voice messaging so the issues that others are having with those functions are not affecting me. I have kept my phone, ipad and computer on mute forever. Since I have never been able to hear well enough to distinguish what was being said I have relied on texting, email, and closed captioning. These aids have opened up a new world for me. With only 30% speech recogniton in one ear and 50ish in the other I will never catch it all, but this is the best it has ever been.

Thanks for confirming I need to turn off BT each time.  I did have battery issues when I first got mine but only with the duracell I had left over.  They were going out in a day like others.  My audiologist gave me a years worth of batteries when I bought the halos, he recommended ditching the duracell and just use what he gave me.  Been working fine, they last anywhere from 6-8 days.  On occasion I do get a new one that goes out in a day.  I'm wondering if it's a defective battery but not sure.  For those with battery issues it may be worth trying a different brand.

I too am happy with the integration so far.  I will be 35 soon and have worn hearing aides for 25 years since I was a kid.  I always had to make do with lower quality hearing aides because I couldn't afford the high end ones.  Since I got a well paying job I was able to purchase the Halos.  I'm glad I did, it's like a whole new world for me.  Makes a huge difference at work and home.  At work my co-workers told me they notice a difference when talking to me.  Combined with my iPad and iPhone I can do so much more.  I can talk to my friends on the phone more, can stream without having to take out my hearing aids and using earbuds.  Can go for a jog and listen to my music cord-free!  It's new technology I am grateful for and while it may not be perfect the difference it has made for me is more than worth it so far.  At this point I can look forward to more improvements from Starkey and Apple to just make it even better.

I totally agree about the difference these aids have made for me making all the little issues worth it. Those of us that are profoundly impaired realize such an extreme improvement compared to someone with a mild loss, we are probably more willing to deal with the small inconveniences. I imagine we have smaller expectations as well. I'm 57 have had profound loss since I was  a toddler, I have no experience with "normal" hearing to base my expectations on

. Where someone that developed loss after having normal hearing is looking for full restoration, possibly giving them unrealistic expectations. I was told for many years that there were no aids that would really help me. So the new technology that has changed that is a magnificent gift for me. I'm extremely grateful that I didn't have the recommended cochlear implants several years ago. It was shortly after that terrifying experience I had the good fortune of being introduced to Bill and Toni Austin owners of Starkey. Who said my loss was a difficult one to help, but believed they had solutions for me. I have seen quite a bit of negative feedback about Starkey, which is unfortunate as my experience with them has been nothing but positive. They have truly devoted their lives and company to improving the lives of hearing impaired people worldwide regardless of financial means. They have an amazing philanthropic foundation that gives aids to those who couldn't otherwise afford them, combined with their continued research and technological advancements, I am totally impressed with the company as a whole, as well as the individual care and commitment I have encountered with each and every Starkey employee. If you're still having issues with your aids I would not hesitate to contact Starkey directly.

Okay I need HELP.  I have had my Halo (only one) since June.  No problems connecting.  Upgraded to iOS8, no problems, brought the iPhone 6 10/2/14 no problems, upgraded iOS8.1 on 10/20/14 no problems until Saturday.  My Halo would not pair to my phone.  It took me 40 minutes of turning the phone on, off, pairing, turning hearing on/off.  Sometimes it recognizes the Halo but when I click on it I don't get the Pair message, but eventually it finally paired.  Sunday the same thing it took about 20 tries before it finally paired.  Today, I have tried for over an hour to pair and it will not pair.  When I turn my hearing off and then on it recognizes the hearing aid 7 times out of 10, but I never get the option to pair.  Any ideas.  I have WiFi turned off, though that hasn't been a problem since upgrading on 10/20.  I am desperate.

Have you tried "forget this device"? Or "reset all network connections"?

    The Starkey approved method:

    1. Open battery doors

    2. Forget this device

    3. re-boot phone

    4. close battery doors

    5. re pair

This works every time for me.  I still have to turn off wifi if I'm making a call or I lose BT intermittently. I contacted Starkey and they say there is no know issue like that.  Well, my! my! my!...... not a clue what to do with that one......

Don't confuse PAIRING with CONNECTING.  The way it SHOULD work is this:

Once PAIRED, it should connect again every time, any you won't need to pair it again.  PAIRING is simply "I know you."

So don't look for the "Request to pair" message every time.

Now, CONNECTING should be easier than it is.  They have to HEAR each other and to HANDSHAKE (recognize the presence of one-another).  This has been problematic, and is a recognized problem.  Probably a firmware update will be needed once the reason for lack of handshaking has been identified.

My Bluetooth keyboard is always recognized, and I only needed to PAIR it once, when it was brand new.

Up until Saturday I have never had a problem, turn my hearing aid on in the morning and it connects.  Saturday, didn't connect.  Did Forget this Device, and went through all those steps.  The problem that I am seeing is that when it does recognize my hearing aid and I click on it, it doesn't say Pair.  Just turned my iPhone off and will following dmbtx's steps above.  This is a pain, I really don't have time to play around to get these to work.

Just followed all of the steps dbmtx suggested.  Recognizes the hearing aid but when I click on it it doesn't ask me to pair.  iPhone or hearing aid problem?

I'm done for a while.  I am very busy at work and can't play with this anymore.  I sent an email to Starkey to see what they suggest.

Again, it SHOULDN'T say "Pair".  It should just CONNECT, and that is done silently.  You should only get the "Request To Pair" request when your device isn't recognized.

But that has been the problem, when I have turned my hearing aids on since Saturday morning it doesn't connect.  I then "Forget this Device" and start from scratch.  When I do that when it recognizes my hearing aid and I click on it, it doesn't give me the "Pair" option and if I click on the arrow all that is does is spin.  Like I said I have had these hearing aids since June really without a problem.  Once or twice I would have trouble connecting, but it never has been like it has been these past 3 days.
