Nov 30, 2014 7:21 PM in response to SantafeNMby whatevva,I have just upgraded to a 6 Plus from a 5S, and I am having problems connecting in the morning. I have to shut BT off, then turn it back on and this seems to get everything reconnected. I never had this issue with the 5S.

Nov 30, 2014 8:27 PM in response to whatevvaby sandraD1,I have the 5s and I connected at the audiologist's office when I picked them up and have never had to pair them again. That's strange about the 6 since it's running the same version of software.

Dec 1, 2014 3:07 AM in response to whatevvaby dogsitter,Since upgrading to iOS 8.1.1, these problems have gone away for me. Mine connect straightaway. Your problem isn't pairing, but connecting. Sounds like your phone just wants a cheery "Good morning!" before blinking awake. You might try turning Bluetooth off when you go to bed, then turn it back on in the morning.

Dec 1, 2014 6:44 AM in response to whatevvaby ricman79,I haven't had many issues since iOS 8.1.1. I just take them off at night and they usually connect on their own within a couple of minutes in the morning once I turn them on. I don't have to turn BT off or anything. I used to make a point of sitting there, waiting for it to connect and make sure it was working before I did anything else, on occasion it may seem like it's taking awhile. I changed my morning routine so the Halo's aren't the last thing I put on before heading out the door. By the time I get to the car they are connected. The only thing I have to make a point of doing different is clicking the trulink app to get that started. Hope that helps.

Dec 1, 2014 6:59 AM in response to dogsitterby dbmtx,I wanted reach out to this thread and see if anyone else is having this one particular issue - I thought this was resolved with the 8.1.1 update but now it is getting worse. When I am in a call and WiFi is connected (as usual), I lose Bluetooth connection. I see the BT icon flash several times then finally re-establish but the other side of the call can't hear me during this time.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Thanks,
Dave

Dec 1, 2014 12:05 PM in response to ricman79by whatevva,I'm only commenting because this is an issue that started directly after the upgrade to the 6 plus. I never had any connection issues with the 5S after the original 110's were replaced by Starkey.

Dec 1, 2014 1:11 PM in response to dbmtxby OldGnome,Dave:
Before 8.1.1, I would get one or both Halo's disconnecting during a call, but not since the upgrade to 8.1.1 (I have a 5C and a 5S).
You probably already did this, but don't forget to re-pair your Halo's after an iOS upgrade.

Dec 2, 2014 9:31 AM in response to OldGnomeby Parrish Jones,Yesterday, I had some weird problems after having very few. I was unable to make a phone call with HAs or my Helmet system. The phone would ring but no sound in HAs or helmet. Restarted phone and still nothing. Then while teachung something happened do not kn what but one aid got dropped out of streaming. I did discover that there were several bluetooth devices in area so Im wondering if the BT devices hijacked my HAs like my iPad does.
If that is the case, we all have possible interference issues because if I have BT on on my iPad, it often hijacks my hearing aids despite having told it to forget the devices. Apple and Starkey need to figure out how we can get dedicated connectivity otherwise some of is are going to continue to have problems that could be serious.
What would happen if you or I were out with out iPhone depending on the system for communication and we are unable to communicate in an emergency which ends in a catastrophe because we could not respond in a timely manner. I have no kn of why these things are happening but they are problematic. Think I'll copy this to Apple Feedback.

Dec 2, 2014 9:40 AM in response to Parrish Jonesby dogsitter,Parrish, if you don't need to use HANDOFF, turn it off and see if that helps.
Settings > General > Handoff

Dec 2, 2014 9:46 AM in response to Parrish Jonesby dbmtx,As Jim has stated, it sounds like you have HANDOFF enabled. Made-for-iPhone hearing devices do not support it. We need to remember, Bluetooth is not the only thing in play here. Apple uses Airplay also to stream to our devices. And I still believe that there is an issue between this Bluetooth/Airplay partnership and WiFi. When I turn WiFi off on my iPhone 6, I have no issues. Leaving it on, I lose connectivity.

Dec 3, 2014 5:43 AM in response to dbmtxby Parrish Jones,Ill try turning off handoff. It sounds like a great feature. So far it is not working on my iPad too well. Messaging works, but documents do not. Thanks for the idea.

Dec 28, 2014 4:18 PM in response to Duffer714by lbieber,Thanks Duffer714. I just got Halos and like them. According to my audiologist, when Apple updated iPhone IOS last summer, Halo users on all iPhones except the new iPhone 6 had problems connecting. Turned out that Apple's update was the problem. Apple fixed this in their next update. Now Bluetooth is backed to its usual problems. Today, only one of my hearing aids would not pair. I tried rebooting the TruLink app and opening and closing the battery doors to no avail. Duffer's fix worked and now both are connected.

Dec 28, 2014 4:45 PM in response to lbieberby Parrish Jones,I've been experiencing some conflicts.
1. Even when hearing aids are turned off and iPad has been told to forget them, if I am listening to iPhone streming using my earpods and I walk within ten feet of my iPad it steals the iPhone. I have to turn off BT on iPad and sometimes that doesn't help.
2. I have a motorcycle helmet with SMH10R BT head set and intercom. Now that I have the HA's the phone function will not work on the helmet even when HAs are turned off. I cannot turn off BT and while I may be able to get it to work if I tell iPhone to forget the HAs, what is the point of that. Then I have to repair my hearing aides every time I take the helmet off. A real pain.
Clearly, there are lots of conflicts. Since Starkey has no user group, this is the only place to go to say there are problems.
