Jan 28, 2015 8:59 PM in response to SantafeNMby LanB22,from my experience I don't think so. I have my phone paired to several BT devices, aids, lg headset, car sync system. When I use the phone all connected devices appear in a popu up list I have to pick one. My default is my aids, if I want to use one of the other options I have to switch.

Jan 29, 2015 3:12 AM in response to patstarkeyby OldGnome,I believe Bluetooth is restricted to a single active connection, while up to five (I think) devices can be connected in total.

Jan 29, 2015 3:51 AM in response to OldGnomeby dogsitter,Thats correct, Oldgnome. I've been experimenting with a MAC OS X program "Audio Hijack 3" that allows me to connect multiple Bluetooth audio devices simultaneously, and configure a complete audio processing SYSTEM any way that I can dream it up. But that is on a MAC, not a phone. I'm also experimenting with two very long range Bluetooth base stations (one is standalone, taking analog inputs, the other plugs into the USB of my Mac). I haven't yet tried pairing either with my Halos. For those that have interest, here are the links:

When I've used these with a Sennheiser MM550X headset, the range has been about 100 metres. That's over 300 feet.
I've been on the road, but hope to play more with these devices, and perhaps try them with the halos, when I get back home next week.

Feb 7, 2015 6:07 AM in response to patstarkeyby OldGnome,I have been experiencing something odd with my Starkeys the past two days. I will get a clicking/static sound in one hearing aid or the other (never both at the same time). Then the hearing aid goes dead - the battery is apparently shot. This has happened three times in less than twelve hours, all with fresh iCellTech batteries. Is it the batteries or do I need my Starkeys looked at? My first set of iCellTech batteries lasted a remarkable eight days.

Feb 7, 2015 7:03 AM in response to OldGnomeby SantafeNM,My guess is battery related. Try a different brand before sending the aids back to Starkey. I have had batteries from the same lot fail in a couple of days also.

Feb 7, 2015 12:26 PM in response to SantafeNMby OldGnome,Thanks, SantafeNM. Returning them to Starkey really isn't an option unless the problem is dire. I'm so deaf without my hearing aids that I would not be able to do my job. I do have a trip to Minneapolis planned for the first part of May, so a visit could be possible then.

Feb 7, 2015 5:38 PM in response to OldGnomeby LanB22,I bought a sampler from Microbatteries, I think you were the poster that I got that tip from.
The iCelltech batteries I got were all dead when I tried to use them, even though the expiration date was 2018, I think.
At any rate I emailed microbatteries and they replaced them with 2 cards of a different brand.
What is really interesting is just this Thursday I started experiencing a buzzing/static sound in my right aid. Best I could determine it was caused by a couple different apps on my iphone that were recently updated. I have had both apps since long before I had the Halos, never had the issue until Thursday. Have you noticed any correlation with the noise and apps running on your phone? I have auto update set for most of apps, checked the app store and sure enough the 2 apps I am having the buzzing with both updated recently. I have not updated to the new version of iOS8 yet. I thought the buzzing was the apps, but I have also had battery life issues with that right aid. I have actually sent the aids back to Starkey twice. Once in October, because I was getting "low battery" multiple times a day, don't know if they replaced the aid or fixed something but it stopped and I was getting close to a week out of a battery. Had the same issue again last month, sent the aids in and am now back to frequent low battery sometimes I change a couple times in a day, and something I get a few days. I do have my Wii aids, but I feel lost without the Halos, I am in the same boat with not being able to work if I don't have my aids. I only send them in if all else fails. Good news is, I send them overnight and Usually have them back in 2 days. Last time, I sent them on Monday afternoon, got the m back on Wednesday.

Feb 7, 2015 5:49 PM in response to LanB22by SantafeNM,I Have noticed that battery charge indications often vary dramatically between using the Truelinlk app or Settings, General, Accessibility, Hearing Aids or triple clicking the Home button. Variations usually at the end of the normal life of a battery. Cannot imagine an app having any impact on the battery life of the aid. Which apps do you suspect?

Feb 8, 2015 7:31 AM in response to LanB22by OldGnome,LanB22: I was experiencing the buzzing, too. The last time it happened, I replaced just the battery that failed (I otherwise replace both batteries as soon as I hear the "Battery" warning). That was more than 36 hours ago and no issues so far. I am going to guess it was just a couple of bad batteries. I like the iCellTech batteries because when they don't fail, I can get 8 days out of them.

Feb 8, 2015 9:43 AM in response to SantafeNMby LanB22,2 slot machine game apps, slotomania and caesars slots, interestingly they are made by the same company.
My issue is always in the right aid. Sometimes I can switch the batteries between the two aids and get several more hours.
I can also open and close the battery door of the right aid and get several more hours. Which makes me think it is a breakdown in a sensor in the right aid.
Has anyone updated to newest iOS8? I've seen a lot of complaints in general about the update. The other day I saw an article claiming Twitter lost 4 million users due to the upgrade. Everything is working with my aids right now, which makes me hesitant to upgrade.

Feb 8, 2015 10:11 AM in response to LanB22by SantafeNM,I Have 8.1.3, the most recent update and have not had issues. By the Twitter loss was reported to be a change in counting members.
I f those apps are suspect you can delete them and try without and always download them for free (if they are purchased) if they were not the problem.

Feb 9, 2015 6:12 AM in response to patstarkeyby OldGnome,I have been running 8.1.3 for what I think is a couple of weeks now. I have had no issues other than the battery problem I reported above. I have also been running TruLink 2.0.0 since it was release in mid-January (again....I think....). Also no issues there.
iOS and TruLink both seem to be getting better and better as well as coexisting better, too.
