want to delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" to stop fan noise, but cant find file

hi

i noticed that many complaning about the same problem, the fan is too loud and to fix this have to go to Library ( i found the hiden Library ) and then prefrances and delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" file, but i just cant this file in library-prefrances

what i'm doing wrong?

MacBook Air (13-inch Mid 2011), iOS 7.1.1

The reason the fans run faster when watching videos is because your computer CPU is being used constantly and it heats up. The fans are there to keep the CPU running within operational temperatures, so it does not over heat and fail.


From what your describing, it sounds like it is operating normally. One thing I can think of that may be wrong, is that the fan on/off temperature settings are a little off, so the fan speeding up a little too early, that is before the temperature of the CPU rises too much. The SMC will reset that cut on cut off temperature.
