Q: on the mac keyboard how do I access different symbols. I have to put in a US dollar sign but it is not on my keyboard. thankyou lynda

Please can you help. I need to access a US dollar sign but there not one on my Mac keyboard. can anyone tell me how I can overcome this please

Try shift - 4.

 

System Preferences/Keyboard/Input Sources - check Show Input menu in menu bar. From there you can select Keyboard Viewer to see what your options are.
