How to set different output during recording?

hi everyone!

my macbook is connected to monitors so i can hear thru them all the tracks.

i am recording audio thru usb Blue mcrophone that is set as input in logic x.

The question is: how can i set logic x to output the audio during audio recording ONLY to Blue microphone ( it has headphones output on it), but when i'm not recording, to keep the monitors as output?

Thanx a lot..

Logic Pro X, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3), Blue usb microphone

It can't be done automatically, you'll have to use mute buttons.

First you need to create an aggregate device of your blue combined with your monitors, so you don't have to keep changing devices in your setup.

Then you can route your track via one bus to two aux channel strips (create manually), one outputting to the blue, the other outputting to the monitors. All you need to do is mute the "monitors" one when recording.
