can I get a replacement charger at apple if mine doesn't work no more
My charger does not work anymore and a friend of mine said if I take the broken one to an apple store they will replace it free of charge. Is this true?

If your iPhone is still in warranty and the charger stopped working to a defect and not due to damage, then yes, they can replace it for free.
