SD Card not readable

Hi, I have an SD card (PNY Elite-X 128g) that my computer won't read. I have had problems with my internal card reader, so I went and got a Targus card reader. It recognizes the card, but when I insert it, the computer tells me "The disk you inserted was not readable by this computer." Is there some way to fix this problem? I have OSX 10.9.3 on my computer, but it is a 2010 mac book pro.

Thanks for any advice!

To be honest, it may be a problem with that single card. PNY make low-cost and low-quality storage devices and RAM and the products often will simply not work on a Mac.

If I were you, I would try another card - a 'name brand' such as SanDisk (those are the only cards that I use now and have never had a problem with them).
