im unable to download facebook app on my ipad first generation, is there a way around this?
says this application requires iOS 6.0 or later and I have version 5.1.1 and says that im up to date
what can I do ?

Download the app using iTunes on your computer. Once it has downloaded, open the Purchased section of the App Store on your iPad, and download it. If a compatible version is available you should be prompted to download an older version.
