MorgRose86 probably deleted all her music and then manually re-imported it by dragging and dropping the files. I just want to point out that it might have taken her an hour to manage her 5000 songs, but I have 16,500 songs and I know people with several TB of music, so "re-import all your music" is not a great solution.
When a song cuts off early, I delete it from the library and then drag and drop the file back in. Even that is not fool-proof -- the song will often still be messed up. Either way, re-importing song-by-song is not a practical solution.
I only notice this problem for new tracks. My old music *appears* to be fine.
I tend to notice the issue when I import a lot of music at once. But, who the heck even knows? I can't seem to troubleshoot the problem. It comes and goes randomly. I was having this problem a lot in December 2015, then it went away, and now in February-March 2016 it's back again. I can't even listen to music without obsessively watching the time meter. It's made music listening completely joyless.
Maybe it's time to finally switch to foobar...
