Q: How to split an audio file?

Before someone states the obvious. I am fully aware of how you split an audio file containing the Soundtrack Pro loops. What I need to know is if I record say 30 minutes of audio at an event and I only need dialogue from different parts of that big file, How can I split the audio file into smaller files? Yes, I could easily do this from within Final Cut Pro but in the event I need to fix any audio or enhance it, I figured I could do it in ST Pro. I haven't tried GB yet. Maybe that could be another option.

To test my theory, I recording some audio off the radio via my TuneIn app on my iPhone that audio was going into my Zoom H4N Audio recorder. I now have that file imported into ST Pro. I am trying to edit out the commercials and the "S" for splitting a clip is greyed out and yes the track is selected. I don't see a razor blade tool either.

Is this something that I can do in Soundtrack Pro or should I just use something else?

Thanks!
