I deleted these apps from my MacBook Air because I am trying to save the space. I already have MS Office so I don't need these. I deleted them and as soon as I logged on again it wants to download them again. How do I delete them permanently?

As I wrote all sites I have looked at for this indicate that without turning on the Debug menu it is not possible to stop the update alerts.
Anyway we'll see what happens when the OP try's the commands to turn on the Debug menu.
Yes, I have a "Control" key, just no CTRL key. I tried "Control-click" both left and right. Does not do anything. I am trying to click anywhere on the Upgrade page over the applications I am trying to hide.
And yes, the Debug menu item appears on the App Store menu bar now.
Yes, I am hovering over the More link. When I control-click it just does what it always does. Shows me the whole description. Right-click does nothing with or without Control. Also tried option and command keys.
As I look at your pictures, I see you are clicking on the "More" link in the section entiteld "Software Updates Available." I am trying to click on the individual updates for individual software. Maybe that is the problem. I do not have a message that says "Software Updates Available". I may have before, but it does not show now.

Sorry I don;t follow that. Could you post a screen shot of where you are trying this?
If the App Store does not have a section Updates Availably then it would seem that for now you do not have any updates. IS that not the case?
Maybe OSX updates are treated differently from Apple software updates to applications like Pages, etc. Possible?
Possible, unfortunately forcing an out-of-date app is more difficult then forcing the out-of-date Raw Camera Bundle.
I have no easy way to test that, sorry.
Ok once last thing I can think of to try for now.
Normal click on the More link to expand the description. Then once the description is expanded (at least on my system) I can control-click anywhere in the description and get the Hide Update link.
Finally, and I have to ask, when you control click you are first pressing the control key and while keeping that depressed you click the track pad. Also do you have any 3rd party trackpad software installed? Or anything strange with the trackpad preferences?
Again just trying to cover all bases here.

Done. And that seemed to have worked. My MacBook now says I have no updates avaialble. Never did the Control-click thing to work, but apprarently now at least it knows I no longer have that software installed. Thanks!
I can hide updates using the control - click option except for Apple programs. For some reason they seem to resist being hidden some times.
I suggested the Spotlight re-index because the OP stated the programs were no longer on the computer. As far as I know it will not hide an update if the program is still on the computer.
Here is what the update page on the App store looks like. I do not see the "More" link.
Look carefully. I see the link for each one. It's blue and appears at the end of the description.

I've never had a problem with that, so I don't really know why it wouldn't function for you. You might check under the App Store's App Store menu for an option to hide updates.
Llike the OP none of my more links are right clickable.
