The photos from two seperate uploads to iphoto dissapeard.

I uploaded probably about 8 memory cards yesterday and two of the imports uploaded and them dissapeard. It still shows the albums but they are empty. They are wedding photos and I need there to be a way to get them back. I'm assuming that since they were once on my computer they have to still be on it somewhere. they arent in the trash. I need them back. so if someone could help i would greatly appreciate it.

Waht version of iPHoto? Of the OS?

a best practice to is to never have any computer program (including iPhoto) delete the photos from the card but to import the photos and keep them and then after at least one successful backup cycle has completed and then reformat the card -- I use three very large (32 GB) cards in rotation so I do not reformat for typically a year or more giving me one more long term backup of my photos

try Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - from the resulting first aid window repair permissions and if necessary rebuild your database

I repaired my iphoto and it worked thank god! over 1000 pictures disapeared and I would have died, actually the bride and groom would have killed me. thank you so much. yeah I would have kept them on my card but I only had two large ones and I was shotting in raw so they filled up super quick. I know for next time to take a) my other computer with photo mechanic on it and my external hardrive and B) about 50 memory cards just incase. Thank you again, you saved my life!
