When syncing my iPad 5s or iPad Air with my MacBook Pro, iTunes will initially display the battery percentage on the Summary tab, but then it disappears, even though the devices are still charging and displaying the percentage on each device. Anyone else seen this?

Same thing happens to me. Posted about this on another sub-forum. The battery percentage usually disappears around Step 4 of the sync. Only happens with my iPad Air. Does not happen with the iPhone 5, 4S, iPod Touch 4 gen, and iPad 2 in my family.
Does anyone have an answer to this problem?

I have figured out that this occurs when you have the Sidebar hidden. If the Sidebar is showing, the percentage indicator does not disappear.
Unfortunately, this does not fix my issue. The battery indicator still disappears sometimes (not always) when syncing and I always have the sidebar showing. BTW, this only happens with my 5S not with my wife's 5 or my iPad 3. It used to happen with the 5 that used to be mine until I got the 5S and gave the 5 to my wife. Because of this I think it has something to do with some app I have loaded (but since I have many apps it would be very hard to track down).
Glad to hear you've fixed that. Unfortunately, this does not fix my problem.
Well, it didn't really fix anything. I only observed that the problem happens almost every time when the Sidebar is hidden.
Since I posted above, I have also had it happen when the Sidebar is displayed, but it doesn't happen every time.

I'm having the same issue. Both iPad Air and iPhone 5s (7.1.2) do this (battery info. disappears during sync) on MBP running OSX 10.9.4 with newest version of iTunes. I have the sidebar showing at all times. Seems to be an intermittent issue.
