Getting a "File type not supported" Error - WHY??

I created a file in the latest version of Garageband. Now, when I try to open the file, it keeps telling me that "Garageband found 2 8-bit files - File type not supported." which makes no sense since I recorded the original voice track using the latest version of GB and the file was fine when I recorded it. And I only recorded 1 vocal track! What's up wih that?? Thanks!

Have you checked the "Media" folder in the GarageBand project, if the recorded audio file is still o.k.?

You can look into the project package by ctrl-clicking (or right-clicking) the project in the Finder. Select "Show Package Contents" from the contextual menu.

Then open the Media folder and the folder "Audio Files" inside.

Your recording should show as an aif-file, named like your track.

Can you play this audio file? Is it still o.k.?
