Q: Bought an iphone from Apple store as screen had smashed on previous device, after a factory reset the Apple ID is linked to a previous user. How do I access the iPhone now?

After breaking the screen on a previous device I purchased an iphone from the Apple store. Once my contract had expired I performed a factory reset on the device however now it seems to be linked to a different icloud to mine. How can I access the iphone now?
