I have an older G3 iBook with OS 10.3.9 and 3 browsers on it. Firefox is version 2.0 - how far can I upgrade it to work today?

Can I upgrade Firefox 2.0, Internet 5.0 and Safari browsers on my old iBook from 2001, with an OS of 10.3?

How much of an upgrade can I do?

I want faster access to the internet and am trying to simply download some kids games for my granddaughter and teach her simple word processing.

Right now they all crash or don't provide the graphics that would be fun for her

You can upgrade to 10.4.11, but have to find the original retail 10.4 installer discs, though the crashes may indicate something else is wrong which could only get worse with upgrading. Do you have the original installer discs?

Is your data backed up?

If it is backed up, you may want to look over some of the options here:
