Using remote with Keynote

I currently have an iPad Air with Keynote. I also have a MacBook without Keynote, but I can access Keynote through iCloud. I would like to present a Keynote presentation on my MacBook and use my iPad as a remote.

Is this possible or do I need to have Keynote on my MacBook?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

It sounds like you would like to use your iPad as a Keynote remote to control a Keynote presentation on your Apple computer. If they both meet the requirements you can do this. Please use the following article as a reference.
