I want to buy the newest MacBook air 13' , with 128GB, but I'm not sure i really should because I don't know if "Yosemite" will run smoothly on it.

Mavericks runs smoothly on my five year old MacBook, I am sure Yosemite will run just fine on a current gen MacBook Air.
Yosemite will be a freebie. It will run superbly on the latest MB. There is no downside of any kind.
The specs released at the time of the Yosemite announcement in June said that it would run on that MacBook Air.
Yosemite should run just fine on any Mac released within the past few years.
Mmmmmm. You might want to rethink that. Yosemite is new and buggy. I installed it. Should have waited a bit.

I have look over internet to install Yosemite to my machine and reached out this tech specs about:
OS X Yosemite System REquirements:
MacBook Air (late 2008 or later)
MacBook (late 2008 aluminum or later)
MacBook Pro (mid 2007 or later)
iMac (mid 2007 or later)
Mac mini (early 2009 or later)
Mac Pro 9 (early 2008 or later)
Xserve (early 2009)
2 GB RAM minimum
8 GB of drive space minimum
posting this from a 2012 11 inch 128 GB macbook air running Yosemite , it runs just fine .
Problems often arise not from the OS but from "other" apps. Hewlett-Packard, for instance, has not released a driver for my HP printer. To get it to run properly, I had to get HP tech support.

Why is everything slow on Yosemite?
I am running 2013 "maxed out" MacBook Air.
At this point I have reinstalled a fresh OS, which was minimally useful.
But, by consensus of many, we are now running a PC style computer.
Is Apple aware?
Is anything being done?
try opening activity monitor and see if something particular is using a bunch of resources . I am not seeing any noticeable slow down on my air . As noted by dr. dave above not all apps are fully optimised for Yosemite yet.

Yes well if you use Aperture that's a downside right there this I know from just having upgraded to Yosemite I no longer have access to my photographs as apple are pushing the useless photos app awaiting call from apple
