Korg KONTROL49 & Sutain/Damper pedal.

Has anyone found a way to use a Damper Pedal with the K49 to sustain notes. There's a similar question that has been archieved but it has not been answered.

I'm hoping someone has a workaround.

Thanks

Not sure what the problem is:-

Simply select the "pedal" setting, select "damper" or "control change" and wop in the sustain controller (64). Should work fine, at least it does on my microKontrol, which is basically the same thing...

Edit: just tried it with a footswitch I had lying around, works fine.

Does it not work for you? Are you using native mode, or not? Are you using a pedal, rather that a switch?

Thanks, I believe I'm in Logic mode. I had it plugged into the "Switch" tried "Pedal" and the sustain pedal works but the polarity is wrong. It sustains when I release and stops when I press down on the Pedal.

My sustain pedal doesn't have a polarity switch. Is there a way to change the polarity of the K49

How do you get into Native Mode?

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction...

Yes - there is a global setting in the "Settings" section where you can specify the polarity of the footswitches - at least on the microKontrol - I expect the same is true for the K49.

Logic will recognise a connected supprted control surface (of which the microKontrol and the K49 are) and put them in native mode automatically.
