Great job on troubleshooting on your own so far. The following Knowledge Base article provides some practical steps to review and additional more, in-depth recommendations as well for troubleshooting the issue you're describing:

Follow these steps to troubleshoot the above issues:
- Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
- Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
- Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
- Restart your iOS device.
- Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
- Tap
and Forget this Network. - Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one. - Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
- Update your device to the latest version of software.
- Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If the issue persists you can try to review the following:
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
- Verify that you're attempting to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.
- Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
- previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
- recently used Bluetooth accessories
- VPN and APN settings

Jun 8, 2014 5:34 PM in response to zohreh ashariby Turnkey26,I had exactly the same problem. I used every suggestion on the forums.
Here is what worked for me. I borrowed a windows laptop (also used an android phone)
and logged into the wireless right away. Then I when to the iPad and iPhone and was able to
instantly login. Three days I tried everything. I reset the router, reset the phone, reset the network
on the phone, turned airplane mode on and off. Nothing worked, so I got out my trusty windows laptop
and it connected right away. I went to the iPad and tried to connect that and it worked instantly as well
as the phone.
