Accidentally I installed Genieo malware to my desktop. How do I uninstall it?

Just so you know, Genieo is not malware. It's signed with an Apple approved Developer ID. Certainly annoying adware, but not malicious.

Just pay close attention to all the dialogs displayed by any installers going forward and it shouldn't happen again.

I almost installed Genieo myself. I had downloaded an installer and when I started the install at the bottom of the window in very small text was a box checked to install Genieo.

When you see a search result with "Ad" icon this is a clue to be very careful when downloading and installing from that site.
