Creating a win/loss record in numbers?
I have begun keeping track of my current scores in my small "wiffle ball" league, made up of just two teams.
Assuming it is possible, I would like to create a spread sheet not only keeping track of scores, but win/loss record as well.
Here was the spread sheet looks like thus far.
As you can see, there are two teams, team one being "DCBI," and the other being "Obama." DCBI has 2 wins, while Obama has 0.
For some reason the grids marking the column do not show in this picture, but the quadrant labled "Home Team" is A1, while "Total Obama Wins" is K1"
I know I could make a column labeled "obama win" and "dcbi win" and make a =total(K2:K21) and =total(J2:J21) sort of thing, and do the same for losses, but I know there has to be some way of having Numbers do the work for me, by analyzing the final score of each game (higher score being the winner, lower score being the person recieving the loss) and end up with a column somewhere along the lines of "DCBI Win/Loss" and "Obama Win/Loss" I've experimented with a few "=countif" s but I am pretty foggy on how they work. Any help would be great!
Thanks!
