Seriously. There's about as much chance of you answering my question correctly as there is of me (or anyone) answering yours. You haven't provided any context, any example script/code, any error messages, or pretty much anything for anyone to go on.

In short, there are about 14 billion different ways 'sending an email' could fail. In order to narrow it down to your specific case you need to provide more details.

Please start with Apple's Troubleshooting Sending and Receiving Mail tech note.  That'll help with the more common triggers, and introduce some of the ways to deal with an email problem.

Perhaps you could provide more information. What happens when you attempt to send an email, what have you done so far to fix the problem, and what error messages do you receive? Please quote the error messages completely.

Try this  - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.
