Connecting Korg Kontrol 49 to Macbook

I'm new to computer recording and MIDI. Just got the Kontrol 49 MIDI controller and I'm trying to get it connected to my Macbook. I have a Midisport 2x2 interface. The computer is recognizing both the keyboard & the MIDI interface. But I still can't use the keyboard to control my virtual instruments.

Could somebody explain this to me, the basics of connecting this MIDI controller to the Macbook? Thanks.

Macbook Mac OS X (10.4.7) Intel Dual-Core

Which software you using, is that the Garage band or the one bundled with your korg.

Here is link to their sites, try to get latest driver and updater for them.

And when you set your midi gear up, did you do drag and connect cables virtually on that icon between midi sport and korg.

Sorry couldn't help much since I'm away from my macbook connect to oxygen.

Good Luck.
