With the photo improvements, does anyone know if iOS 8 will natively show animated GIFs? I know on iOS 7, it will store them fine, but to view the animation you have to "pretend" you're going to send them in a Message or an Email. Thank you!

what i figured out: you can add gifs to a note to make them work. the photo gallery unfortunately does not support gifs

Thank you for the information! I am still hopeful that a future iOS release will provide native support for animated GIFs directly in the Photo app.
