Mail inbox showing recipient name instead of sender's

Hi. I''m using Mac Mail for all my mail account (4 of them) and they all work perfectly except for one of my account that is connected through Exchange. The problem is that all the mails are showing my name instead of the sender's name. Every time is switch to another mailbox and comeback to this one (which is my professional mailbox), inbox shows sender's name for 2 minutes, until it refreshes itself. Then, it goes back to showing my name instead of sender's name.

Yes I have a Exchange account and Apple Mail is configured to connect to this exchange account. I have also Office 2011 and it works perfectly (except that I don't like outlook, it's why I'm using Apple Mail). So I fear the issue comes from Apple Mail.

Rebuilding doesn't work but I've run the following procedure yesterday and it run correctly again (but for how many time I don't know) :

1- Delete the Exchange account from Apple Mail

2- Delete the Exhange Calendar from Calendar

3- Be sure that no other Exchange related things remains (sometime with multiple computers in the same icloud, some "ghost" exhange calendar configurations remains, so it's important to look at the preferences in the calendar app and suppress all these accounts)

4- Run Onyx and select all Onyx can clear/delete/reinitialise for cache/spotlight ...

5- Reboot

6- reconfigure Apple Mail and Calendar in this order

It takes a lot of time as Apple Mail and Calendar have to rebuild the entire content + spotlight but this is working fine again. The only issue is that I did it in the past and I don't have a clue of what and when Apple Mail will turn again crazy.

Mavericks Mail and Exchange have had some serious issues. I'm afraid it's still a work in progress. Keep sending Apple feedback so it can be logged and put in the queue to be fixed.

In Outlook....

Exchange Basics

The Inbox syncs more frequently than any other and should be kept as clean as possible. (this is the number one cause of problems with sync). Do NOT make subfolders under the Inbox.

Rebuild basics. If your Identity will open remove Exchange IMAP accounts before rebuilding. If your Identity will not open and you need to recover data that is not on the server, rebuild then immediately delete the Exchange and IMAP accounts. Add back accounts and let the data download from the server.

Hi, I have an exact same behaviour also on my Mac Mail with an outlook account (professional one).

I haven't found any solution except deleting the account and recreating it but it works for few days/week and then I have the issue again.

Any solution around there ? I cannot imagine we are the only one with this really big bug.

Thanks Eric and Diane for your help, but i tryied also rebuilding the mailbox and it comes back after few minutes. The strangest thing is that everytime i get the recipients name displaying, if i click on another mailbox to change the view, and come back to my Exchange one, everything is fine (mail shows the sender's name). Then, after a few minutes, the problem comes back. To be clear;

1 - Exchange account A inbox shows recipient name

2 - Select another Exchange mailbox

3 - Sender's name is displayed on Exchange account B inbox

4 - Return to the Exchange mailbox A

5 - Sender's name is displayed

6 - After a few minutes, problem comes back, showing recipient's name insteand of sender's.

If you have any idea of what could be doing that...
