Ink cartridges

I have recently bought a batch of ink cartridges from cartrdgeshop which were advertised as Canon, and produced by Picture Expert. However, although labelled eg "5BK black replace for C-PG15 BK" the orange unlocking key is a different shape from the ones from Canon for a Pixma iP4500.

Are they safe to use?

Some time ago I bought a cheap cartridge which was genuine, but unfortunately I cannot find a record of where I purchased it!

iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), Mac OS X (10.7.5), Memory 8 GB

Hard to say. There are so many cheap catridges on offer on Amazon and eBay. I don't know the ones you mention but I have been satisfied with ones I have purchased from

for my Canon Pixma.

Most others are safe to use but many have poor colour or are only half full!

Thanks, Klaus. It was Cartridgeshop, so I think I'll be safe to use them.

Are there any problems about accessing ink levels?
