Buy an iWork 09 from a source such as Amazon or eBay, or go back to the G5, export the documents into a format that the newer Pages will read, and copy those over.

Apple has the new version of Pages on the App Store. It is version 5.2
On your PowerMac machine, use Pages ’08 to export the .pages documents to Word .doc. Backup the original .pages and exported Word documents. Restore the Word documents on your new Mac, and open them with Pages v5.2.
