High Point RocketU 1144BM USB 3.0 PCI card ???

Hi

Can anyone help me

I have a Mac Pro 5.1 3.33GHz 12 cores 2012 - 500GBSSD & GTX7800 - OSX 10.8.5

I have just bought a High Point RocketU 1144BM Quad 5/Gb/s port USB 3.00 SuperSpeed Raid HBA card

I cannoy get it to work in any PCIe slot

The symtoms are - If I put in a USB stick - some work and some wont - If I connect my USB mouse/key board to the USB it will not work

Also the Mac Pro 5.1 - will not go to sleep ????

Is this card the correct card -

Also I bought it to use with a card reader using a MicoSD card - to import video - THE CARD WILL NOT SHOW UP ON THE DESK TOP - WHY?

I have tried all 4 ports - and will not mount on the desk top

Any ideas

HI

Yes I have - but its something to do with the RocketU 1144BM card -

when I take the card out of the PCIe slot - everythings fine

The origianl question is IT COMPATABLE WITH A MAC PRO 5.1

I see their are RocketU 1144BM cards & RocketU 1144CM and others

Why ? - what is the correct card - Have I got the wrong one

Support for macs and Highpoint are always an issue. They have Mac cards that have Mac (EFI) firmware that are different from PC cards, and drivers, though sometimes a new OS has support nastively it is not a given.

Thank you for coming back with this - appricated

It looks like it will not work on any Mac Pro 5.1 - we have tried it in a 3.33GHz Mac Pro 5.1 & 3.46GHz Mac Pro and tried all the Drivers from the High Point web site.

All will not make it work - and out of interest when the card is installed in any of the Mac Pros - the machines will not shut down or sleep !!!!!

We noticed that when trying to open any folder (Mac OS) on the desk top - you get that Wheel of death spinning

So in a nut shell - we have carfully removed this PCIe card and uninstalled the RocketU driver

The Mac Pro - is back to its usual self - ~IT SLEEPS
