iBook Experiment went very wrong

Hi all, I did something really wrong, I was bored and I wanted to do an experiment, since I am new to mac I dont know much, so I installed Sytem 6 on my iBook to see how system 6 looked like, but I installed the OS incorrectly, now each time my iBook boots, it displays a folder with a blinking question mark and the Mac OS logo too, so I dont know what to do, this is really bad, but all my Mac OS X files are still there...

I posted the same thing on the Mac OS X forum like a week ago, but dint got much help, I am going to try again in this iBook section...

help...
please...

Apple iBook Clamshell

This seems awfully dramatic. Your iBook is unlikely to have suffered damage; it's only corrupt software. However, if you're really done with it, let me take it off your hands! I'd pay postage to 94089.

is not dead, it was a joke 🙂
my iBook is in good physical conditions.
Since Mac OS X is corrupted on my iBook, I am intalling Xubunto Linux to the iBook, Xubunto linux is nice and Its designed for older computers.
and as I said before, there`s billions of Linux software out there, so can open almost any kind of files that I may use in my iBook with Linux...
my original plan was that I would buy a PowerBook G3 pismo, but I wanted something fast to get on ebay since at that time there wasn`t any PowerBooks so I only found an iBook in ebay at a very low price.
I love my iBook is my very first apple product that I own.
Besides, the first generations of iBooks look very futuristic, and advanced.

Apple has always been one step ahead of PCs.
In style and Power.

Xubuntu Linux is not working well, this is the end, I am going to keep my iBook for collection purposes.
But I have one more idea...

I remembered that someone said that Mac OS 8.6 is the lowest OS the iBook can run, but what if I download the final version of Mac OS 7, not the system 7 version, I heard that Mac OS 7.6 and up can run in PowerPC enviroment...
is it true?

Well, I am not going to give up...
I like my iBook alot, ok, I think I should do the following...

Download LiveCD Linux distribution (Why LiveCD? because the LiveCD linux wont delete any of the Mac OS X files that are on HD, so I can recover Mac OS X)
boot Linux
Simulate Mac OS 7.x via Linux
While simulating Mac OS 7, I go to the Sytem 6 folder and delete it, I cant delete the System 6 folder in linux...
And when The system 6 folder is destroyed the iBook will go back to normal and this nightmare will be over...
this can be done...

But I need to know what Linxu distribution will work with the simulator...
Does anyone know?
